Musical Theatre Seniors are New York Bound

School is partnering with UCLA for 2017 Showcase

Kent, OH – Twelve senior musical theatre students students from Kent State University's School of Theatre and Dance will perform in New York on March 28, 2017 for industry professionals. The annual Musical Theatre Showcase allows graduating students planning on moving to New York City after commencement the opportunity to perform for prospective managers, agents and casting directors.

This year, the School of Theatre and Dance is partnering with UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television for Showcase, with each school presenting separate programs.

The 2017 Musical Theatre Showcase will take place on March 28 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Café, located at 407 W. 42ndStreet, New York, NY 10036. Performances are at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m.

Preview performances will take place on Wed., March 22 at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the Erdmann-Zucchero Black Box Theatre located in the Roe Green Center for the School of Theatre and Dance in the Center for the Performing Arts, 1325 Theatre Drive, Kent, OH 44242.
