Golden Flashes to Play St. Bonaventure in the National Invitation Tournament

3/16/2025 10:17:00 PM

KENT – Kent State Men's Basketball (22-11) has punched their ticket to the National Invitation Tournament. The Golden Flashes will play on the road at St. Bonaventure University on Tuesday, March 18. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. This following a strong season that saw the Blue and Gold reach the Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinal.

"It's an honor and a privilege to get invited to play in the NIT.", coach Senderoff said. "It's a testament to what our team has accomplished this season. We played a very challenging schedule for this reason and our metrics put us in a position to get this invite. I'm glad our seniors get a chance to play in the post-season and our underclassmen get another chance to play for our seniors."

Kent State last competed in the NIT during the 2010-2011 season defeating Saint Mary's and Fairfield before falling to Colorado.
