Cleveland, Ohio - Redshirt Senior Sincere Carry, was named the 2022 Male Collegiate Athlete of the Year at the 23rd Greater Cleveland Sports Awards Wednesday evening in the Rocket Morgage FieldHouse. 

Sincere Carry has earned a number of awards and has set program history for Kent State in 2022. Carry was named 2022 All-MAC Player of the Year and All-MAC First Team and Defensive Team. Carry led the team in points (17.9), along with assists (4) per game in the 2021-22 season with the Flashes. Along with leading the offense, Carry set a program record with 10 three-pointers and a career-high 42 points against Ball State on Feb. 22, 2022. 

Coach Senderoff was extremely happy for Sincere as he received the award "I am really happy for SIn. It's a tremendous honor for him and well deserved. Sin has had a great career here at Kent State and there is still more ahead for him."

Currently, Carry leads the Flashes with 17 points and 4.9 assists per game. He has recorded double-digits in 19 games this season, including a season-high 31 points. He now has a total of 1,698 career points putting him third in Kent State History.
