ACT Information

Our Admissions staff is happy to help you determine whether or not you need to take the ACT and make the right choices about when and how to take it!

If you will be a new freshman under 21 years old at the time of first enrollment at Kent State Tuscarawas and have a high school diploma, we are going to need your ACT scores. We don't require the optional Writing portion for any applicants.

There are two options for taking the ACT test:

Visit the ACT website to learn about upcoming test dates, registration deadlines and testing locations. You can register online for the national test administration. Scores earned from these test administrations can be reported to any college(s) you choose. The ACT school code for Kent State Tuscarawas is 3361.

If you've already taken the ACT, the scores will appear on your high school transcript and there is no need to request them directly from ACT.

The Residual ACT is offered by individual universities as a service to prospective students who are unable to take the test on the national ACT test dates. While the test is the same, only Kent State University can use the scores obtained on a Residual ACT taken at one of it's campuses.

Kent State University administers the Residual ACT once or twice each month at the Michael Schwartz Center, room 261 on the Kent Campus, or at 40 Campus Center on the Stark Campus.
