Coach Adam wilson



Adam E. Wilson, of New Philadelphia, was hired in January 2018 as the baseball coach for Kent State University at Tuscarawas. He has more than 26 years of playing and coaching experience in Tuscarawas County, in the Class A baseball leagues and most recently was an assistant coach for KSU Tuscarawas. He received the Roy Hobbs World Series MVP Award in 2014 when his team won the Roy Hobbs World Series Championship.

In addition to his coaching and playing career, Wilson has been employed by Tuscarawas County Job and Family Services for 12 years---most recently as Fiscal Supervisor, Transportation Supervisor and Childcare Supervisor.

Wilson’s successful career includes being a three-year letterman in baseball at New Philadelphia High School where he earned Mizuno All-Ohioan honors his senior season, he played varsity baseball for four years at Ashland University, he also played for 16 years in the Tuscarawas and Stark County Class A baseball leagues, and has been named MVP of the Class A Leagues three times and batting champions one time.  He has coached in the Class A League for four years and played in the Roy Hobbs World Series in Fort Myers, Florida four times. Wilson is a member of the Fraternal Order of Elks and along with being a 2001 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Ashland University in 2005, along with certificates in School Finance (2011) and Public School Law (2011) from the University of Phoenix Online.
