Women's Success Series - Featuring Wendy Zucal
Wendy Zucal, executive director of the Dennison Depot Museum system, will be the featured speaker for the April 10 Women’s Success Series event at Kent State University at Tuscarawas. The event is held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Cost to attend each session is $10, which includes a continental breakfast.
Zucal’s presentation will share her leadership philosophy, lessons learned and best practices, as well as her definition of success.
Zucal’s responsibilities include managing the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum, Historic Schoenbrunn Village and the Uhrichsville Clay Museum. She oversees Polar Express Train Rides and the new Lucille's Restaurant inside the Depot. She has served on multiple boards in the county such as the Economic Development and Finance Alliance and the Community Improvement Corporation, where she is the first female president in the organization’s 50-year history. Zucal is a graduate of Leadership Tuscarawas, Dale Carnegie and Disney Institute. She earned a bachelor's degree at Marietta College and a master’s at Carnegie Mellon University.
Originating in November of 2012, the Women’s Success Series is designed to inspire women of all ages to succeed personally and professionally. Each year, the leadership series features three dynamic women who have enjoyed a measure of success in Tuscarawas County. The sessions also include networking opportunities and a book discussion. The April 2015 book selection, Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, is available at any Tuscarawas County Public Library.
