2017-2018 PAC Unveiling to be Held May 19

A line-up of 26 shows will be announced at the May 19 unveiling of the 2017-18 season of the Performing Arts Center at Kent State University at Tuscarawas. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a wine and beer tasting followed by the formal unveiling at 7 p.m. The event is open to Performing Arts Center members.

“This season will be full of award winners,” commented David Mitchell, general manager of the Performing Arts Center (PAC). “We’ll have Grammy winners, Tony winners and even an Emmy winner. As always, there will be a great mix of Broadway shows, comedy, family shows, concerts and our popular cabaret series. This year, I’m also very excited about a new series that’s in the works that will bring something a little different to the PAC. We are looking forward to releasing those details during the unveiling.”

The 2017-18 season will be the eighth year of programming for the PAC and the third year to offer the unveiling to members only. “Member support is vital to the sustainability of the Performing Arts Center and enables us to continue the outreach initiatives that we do year after year,” added Mitchell. “With making the unveiling a member’s only event, it gives us a way to say thank you to our members. I encourage everyone to become a member today so you can be a part of the excitement.”

In addition to the unveiling, PAC members are able to purchase tickets prior to the general public during special pre-sale periods. Members at the Dean’s Circle and Sustaining Patron levels have the exclusive option to have seats held for their purchase. While PAC memberships are available all year, the deadline to purchase memberships with the benefit of attending the May 19 unveiling is May 12.

There are five membership levels ranging from $30 to $1500 with each offering various benefits to the member. The levels have been developed to accommodate affordability for Students, Friends, Sustaining Patrons, Dean’s Circle and Corporate Partners. A portion of every membership is a donation to the Performing Arts Center Endowment, which may be tax-deductible.

PAC members will be able to purchase tickets to the 2017-18 season from May 19 to May 31. Pre-sale packages, six shows or more, can be purchased June 5 to 11. Single show ticket sales begin June 12.

Student memberships include exclusive free ticket giveaways, and two $10 balcony section tickets to each PAC series event. There are a limited number of these tickets available for each show.

Benefits at the Friend level include advance notice of new events, exclusive event pre-sales and a listing on the Performing Arts Center membership Web page.

Sustaining Patrons receive all of the Friend level benefits plus a total of two complimentary guest passes to a PAC season series event and two guaranteed seats to each PAC season performance.

Members at the Dean’s Circle level will receive all of the Sustaining Patron level benefits plus dedicated concierge ticket service, a total of four complimentary guest passes to a PAC season series event and four guaranteed seats to each PAC season performance.

The Corporate Partner level offers a company listing on the Performing Arts Center membership Web page, a listing in the playbill when appropriate, a total of eight complimentary guest passes to a PAC season series event, corporate ticket discounts for employees and use of the Performing Arts Center lobby for one corporate event per year.
