Lauren Innovations is Anchor Resident of TTI

Part of the Tuscarawas Regional Technology Park, the Tolloty Technology Incubator is owned and managed by Kent State University at Tuscarawas and the Tuscarawas County Community Improvement Corporation (CIC). As the incubator's anchor resident, Lauren Innovations is noted as a mature and sufficiently stable resident, serving as a role model or mentoring organization for other residents and attracting new or existing start-up businesses to the incubator.

"The CIC has a rich and virtuous history with Lauren Innovations and its parent company, Lauren International, and we've always valued their involvement in our organization – not to mention the way in which they have helped us grow our incubator and the technology park," said CIC Executive Director Gary Little. "We are extremely pleased to announce Lauren Innovations as the incubator's anchor resident. This is an organization that continually develops innovative technologies and services and we feel the incubator's technology-driven design and capabilities will aid in its efforts."

Founded in 2009, Lauren Innovations offers affordable software and services that advance safety and security by increasing operational and data efficiency. The company's flagship NaviGate technology – which is SAFETY Act Designated as an anti-terrorism-level technology by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security – is a cloud-based technology designed to help organizations plan for the unexpected, meet compliance regulations, make better decisions and access critical information more efficiently. "As soon as I learned of the intended goal for the incubator spaces, I knew this was the place for us," said James Hummel, chief operating officer, Lauren Innovations. "In all that we do, we follow a forward-thinking and innovative relationship-based model of business that encompasses continuous improvement, collaboration, integrity and diligence. We strongly believe in teamwork, listening with an open mind and creating an environment of learning, understanding and appreciation – while continuously striving for excellence. The new space within this facility will give us exactly what we need to thrive, accomplish our goals and allow for anticipated growth."

The anchor resident will be housed on the incubator's second floor in one of the facility's largest spaces, occupying 3,680 square feet.

"It's a huge benefit that a local company that is thriving in the information technology sector is going to play such a key role within the facility, impacting the entire atmosphere of the space – from creative thinking to product and service development," Little added. "Lauren Innovations is a fresh, slightly larger organization full of passion and energy and is sure to act as a magnet in attracting other start-up companies and similar creative minds to the incubator."

The company will have access to the facility's lobby and dining areas, shipping, receiving and storage space, outdoor terrace, conference rooms, premier broadband data center, and training room, which will be fully equipped with smart boards, green boards, teleconferencing technology, and photo and video equipment.

"We are happy we are able to offer Lauren Innovations the substantial amount of space and amenities they require for their expansion,"said Dr. Brad Bielski, dean and chief administrative officer of Kent State Tuscarawas. "Throughout the years, we have been very fortunate and honored to have the support of Lauren International and its family of companies for our university mission, academic initiatives and facility expansions. They hire many of our graduates from our engineering technology and business programs, as well as other academic areas and Lauren's leaders and employees are also strategically involved as engaged members of various Kent State Tuscarawas advisory boards. Lauren Innovations' new residency at the Tolloty Technology Incubator is the next step in an ongoing partnership that benefits the community."

Lauren Innovations' new offices, which will be move-in ready in January 2015, are just minutes from its current location on New Philadelphia's Reiser Avenue.
