Massillon Washington High School Graduate to Play at Kent State Tuscarawas

Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a Massillon Washington High School graduate to their softball team. On June 21, Jordyn Lynn signed a Letter of Intent to play for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles Softball Team.

Lynn was a four-year letter winner and played for the Tigers softball team. She earned Massillon’s Rookie of the Year her freshman season when she had the team’s highest batting average (.427), the Coach’s Award her sophomore year and had the most stolen bases on the team each of her four seasons. Lynn made the Honor Roll as a freshman, sophomore and junior, was a member of the Tiger Pep Club, Advisory Club and Health Occupations Students of America.  She plans to major in nursing in college.

“Jordyn is a very important addition to our team,” said Chuck Peach, Head Softball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. “Don’t be fooled by her short stature, because this young lady is a real player. Her on base percentage is phenomenal and she can hit the heck out of the ball as well. She is going to be very important to our run production next year and is going to be a tough out for everyone we face on the diamond.”

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
