Kevin G. Brosien, Marketing Manager, University Communications and Marketing
Kevin Brosien has a B.S. (journalism and mass communication) from Kent State. Prior to joining UCM in 2009, he served as Community Health Partners’ publications, advertising and Web coordinator. An award-winning journalist, Kevin has also served as account manager and freelance writer for some of northern Ohio’s most respected publishers and public relations and marketing firms.
Liz Henry, Assistant Director, Marketing, University Communications and Marketing
Liz Henry has experience in consumer and business to business marketing strategy and execution. Prior to joining Kent State University in 2010, She held a variety of marketing positions at KeyBank, including nine years marketing education lending products and services to parents, students and school administrators. In addition, Liz held marketing and product management positions with Avery Dennison and was a sales representative for Xerox Corporation. She received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Marketing from the University of Cincinnati and received her Master’s in Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace College. Liz has also taken executive education courses from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is a 2008 YWCA Women of Professional Excellence award recipient. Liz was a breakout session speaker at a National Association of Financial Aid Administrators national conference.
Liz Lewis, Marketing Research Manager, University Communications and Marketing
In her current role as marketing research manager at UCM, Liz Lewis conducts both qualitative and quantitative research studies. Prior to joining Kent State in 2007, she served as a research analyst at Proforma's corporate headquarters. In that role, she provided a variety of market research services for 500 franchise owners nationwide as well as Proforma's executive team. Previously, she worked as a copy editor at Marcus Thomas LLC. Liz earned her B.A. in professional writing and editing from Youngstown State University and master's degree in library science with a concentration in business research from Indiana University.
Karen Mercer, Director Marketing Research and Strategy, University Communications and Marketing
Karen Mercer spent the first 18 years of her career in the financial services industry. Before joining Kent State in 2005, she led marketing for the small business banking division of National City Corporation, a former Fortune 500 financial services company. At Kent State, Karen has specialized in marketing for non-traditional students, as well as outreach to business and strategic partners. She currently leads the marketing research and strategy areas within University Communications and Marketing.
