Anne Palmieri worked as a temporary UCM employee for a year before joining us in October 2010. From August 2012 to December 2013 she worked as a web, internal and electronic communications specialist and in January 2014 she was promoted to web, training coordinator. Prior to joining Kent State University, Anne was the owner of a home business for 16+ years. The primary responsibilities in her current position include:
Web Support and Training
Provide training and support to 820+ web editors for 520+ departmental websites by scheduling and facilitating various group training sessions in order to transfer the knowledge of web editing procedures and to promote the marketing guidelines and brand standards of the university with a focus on web accessibility compliance. Schedule and provide individual and custom departmental group training sessions. Responsible for creating and maintaining the university's content management systems online training manual.
Research and Testing
Facilitate focus groups and assist with usability testing with various audiences, report the findings, and work with the team to implement new functionality and to resolve issues discovered. Collaborate with our Information Technology web presence partners to report, track and test new developments, as well as resolve issues.
Branding and Marketing
Create and oversee the workflow of website migrations and web content audits. Edit and approve 1,400+ annual event submissions for inclusion to the online calendar. Build, populate and maintain web content for various divisional websites. Maintain website and editor database and manage editor website access.
