Design Abroad in Berlin and Prague

Design Abroad is a learning adventure offered by the School of Visual Communication Design at Kent State University. Students will travel to Berlin and Prague in May of 2016 to complete an exploration into design history, research, and on location investigation.

This experience is open to juniors, seniors and graduate students in the School of Visual Communication Design, as well as design minors. Students will travel for 12 days and will complete a studio project, along with research and preparatory work.

Before the trip abroad, the class will meet every week on Wednesdays from 7:45 to 10:30 am. Prior to our departure students will complete a variety of reading assignments, activities and attend meetings to help prepare them. After returning to Kent, students will finish the studio project, due at the end of the semester.
