Spotlight Speaker, Lewis Williams
Lewis Williams, School of VCD alumnus and current Chief Creative Officer at Burrell in Chicago will be here and will present to students Tuesday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. in Franklin Hall Room 340. The event is being hosted by Franklin Advertising.
Lewis graduated with his BFA from the School of Visual Communication Design at Kent State and worked his way quickly up the ladder while developing campaigns for brands like Disney, McDonalds, Budweiser and P&G. He’s also the benefactor of a variety of awards from top industry competitions including the One Show, Effie and the David Ogilvy Award.
Burrell Communications is one of the largest multi-cultural agencies in the world and was the runner up in Ad Age’s 2018 Multicultural Agency of the Year.
Lewis’ presentation promises to be enlightening and fun and we’re looking forward to having him share some of his Kent State memories and show some of his award winning work.
Lewis is the 2016 recipient of the Walker-Buchanan Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest honor given by the School of Visual Communication Design to alumni who are nationally and/or internationally recognized for their preeminent contributions to their profession.
