Student Multimedia Assistant Position

The Department of Pan­African Studies (DPAS) is seeking a high­functioning student assistant to design printed and electronic media for marketing, outreach and recruitment efforts. We are looking for students who are organized, detail oriented, require little supervision and have a strong ability to adhere to deadlines.

Student Multimedia Assistant Position Description & Responsibilities:

Serve as primary designer of print and electronic posters, flyers, programs, signs, brochures, power points for the Department of Pan­African Studies; assists with production of web recruitment materials; works with DPAS Chairperson, Outreach Coordinator, and Center of Pan­African Culture Director and other units in the production of multimedia including interactive recruitment tools, flash presentations, podcasts, slideshows, maps and video; prepares documents for downloading using adobe acrobat and other software; maintains digital photo libraries; provides support in the development of Web related products as needed; ensures web site, selections and pages meet University web standards; designs and updates content on web pages; assists with selection of new content by incorporating photos illustrations and logos; publishes web site content using web publishing software. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.


● Must possess minimum of two years design experience using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
