Research Writing Retreat for Graduate Students
The Graduate College is committed to helping you succeed. We’re excited to offer three Research Writing Retreats for Graduate Students. These retreats provide you with a distraction-free weekend so you can focus on your writing.
The Research Writing Retreats provide:
- A quiet space with desktop computers (or you can bring your own laptop).
- Structured time to write.
- Opportunities to schedule statistical consulting appointments leading up to the weekend (only available for Kent State students).
- Meals throughout the days of attendance, in addition to lots of coffee and tea.
- The opportunity to meet other students working on their writing.
- The opportunity to make connections for developing writing and support groups outside of the retreat.
- Resource materials related to research and writing.
Our Spring retreat will take place on Friday, February 10 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided, and Saturday, February 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with breakfast and lunch provided.

*The payment for Kent State will be requested upon confirmation of admittance into the Retreat. Payment is $30 for two consecutive days of Retreat or $20 for one day of Retreat.
