Dr. Jewon Lyu earned her B.S. in business administration with the concentration in international trade/business from Chung-Ang University, South Korea; her Master of International Business from the University of Florida, Gainesville; and her Ph.D. in retail, hospitality and tourism management with an emphasis on retailing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Prior to her arrival at Kent State in 2016, Dr. Lyu was a lecturer at Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville, teaching in the merchandising and design program.
Emily attended the University of Mount Union, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Art in public health, and Kent State University, where she received a Master of Education in higher education administration and student personnel with a certificate in career advising. Prior to studying at Kent State, she volunteered as an AmeriCorps member through Northeast Ohio Medical University.
Marguerite Loomis has been a business and marketing professional for over 30 years. She previously worked as a senior product manager at the Sherwin-Williams Company. She developed consumer retail products for the paint sundries industry, along with overseeing advertising, promotion, market research and merchandising initiatives. She focused her career in marketing and has had many roles in this field (including merchandising coordinator, trade show manager and director). She enjoys working with management, cross-functional teams and customers.
