Narketta Myles is an Akron native and University of Akron graduate. While at The University of Akron, she worked with underrepresented students in one of the nationally recognized TRiO programs, for five years. Prior to that experience, she worked as a Certified Child Life Specialist for seven years at Akron Children’s Hospital. This December, Narketta will be obtaining her Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration. In her free-time she also enjoys cooking, salsa dancing, as well as activities involving the visual and performing arts.
Erin Burke is an Academic advisor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Erin holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education from Baldwin Wallace University. She fell in love with Kent State University after taking a class for her graduate program at the Kent State Campus in Florence, Italy. Before that, Erin earned an undergraduate degree in Video Production from Ohio University, where she also spent a semester in Ireland. Erin is passionate about helping students find their path, and is a strong supporter of Education Abroad and Service Learning.
Emily attended the University of Mount Union, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Art in public health, and Kent State University, where she received a Master of Education in higher education administration and student personnel with a certificate in career advising. Prior to studying at Kent State, she volunteered as an AmeriCorps member through Northeast Ohio Medical University.
