Student Wins Contest to Name New Student Success Platform

Earlier this year, the EAB Navigate platform was chosen as a student success solution for Kent State University, through the collaboration of stakeholders across the university. Since this time, the student success platform leadership team and other colleagues have been working with EAB to prepare for implementation.

The Student Success Platform Leadership Team is pleased to announce that KSU® Navigate is the new name for this platform. The leadership team is committed to engaging students throughout the implementation process and, to this end, held a student contest to name this new platform, engaging students in the process. Savannah Miller, a junior in the BSN program at the Trumbull Campus, submitted the winning name and now has bragging rights to KSU® Navigate. She also received a gift and message of appreciation.

The work on KSU® Navigate continues with the goal of having the platform ready for the initial pilot in Spring 2024 and anticipated full implementation in Fall 2024. We are currently identifying several colleges and Regional Campuses to participate in this pilot.

More information on the selection of this student success platform was shared in the “Providing Coordinated Care for Student Success” article in the May 10 edition of Kent State Today.

We are excited about this student success platform and will keep you informed on the progress of this significant initiative.
