The College of Nursing is once again participating in the Kent State University Giving Tuesday Campaign which kicked off on Halloween. During the month of November, and culminating on Tuesday, November 28th, the college will be raising money for the College of Nursing Student Scholarship Fund and the Nursing Simulation Fund. During the month, there are several incentives available for the College of Nursing to increase the impact of your gift! For every 25 gifts of $25 or more made to either of the funds below, a $500 bonus will be unlocked for that fund. Your participation helps unlock these dollars and allows more of our students to receive the support they need.
On Giving Tuesday, November 28th, gifts to ANY FUND will be matched dollar for dollar up to $1,000. This matching gift opportunity is available until the matching gift dollars are exhausted, usually happening around 10 a.m. Set your clock to make sure to take advantage of this amazing opportunity to expand the impact of your philanthropy!
College of Nursing Student Scholarship Fund
The College of Nursing Student Scholarship Fund provides tuition relief to nursing students. This scholarship allows our students to spend more time on their studies and less time worrying about their finances. From sophomore students just entering the clinical environment to senior students within sight of graduation, this fund helps ensure more nurses are available to take care of our community. Nursing Simulation Fund
The Nursing Simulation Fund provides direct support to the simulation laboratory in Henderson Hall. From high-fidelity mannequins to IV pumps, this fund helps ensure that when our students are in the simulation laboratory, they have the most realistic experience possible. This experience allows students to work through anxieties they might have and be better prepared to enter the clinical environment.
