Kent, Ohio – The School of Art Collection and Galleries at Kent State University are pleased to announce a new exhibit, Still/Moving, Framing New Media, curated by Jamie Hahn and featuring the work Jason Bernagozzi, Jamie Hahn, Evelyne Leblanc-Roberge, Kristin Reeves and Eric Souther. The show will be on display, Jan. 26–March 1, 2024, in the CVA Gallery, Payto Gallery and Crawford Gallery located in the Center for the Visual Arts, 325 Terrace Drive, Kent, Ohio. There will be a reception that is free and open to the public on Jan. 26, 5–7 p.m.
In addition, there will be an artist talk on Jan. 26 at noon, by Jason Bernagozzi and Evelyne Leblanc-Roberge a performance also on January 26 at 6 p.m. by Jason Bernagozzi and Deborah Bernagozzi. There will also be a performance on March 1 at 1 p.m. by Eric Souther.
Curator Jamie Hahn states that “Still/Moving is an exhibition offering a historical perspective between still and moving images by showing a progression between analog film, digital video, electronic lens-based media and new media technologies. From still-capture, using a camera to record and freeze movement, to a moving sequence of images recorded with analog film and digital video methods, the artists make tangible the seemingly mysterious and sometimes misunderstood art that can be defined as New Media.”
Still/Moving, Framing New Media will feature video, projected works, installations, and printed materials. Truly a variety of visual experiences for every visitor.

About the School of Art
The School of Art at Kent State University was established in 1941 and maintains a tradition of excellence in visual arts education, creation, scholarship, and leadership. Its undergraduate and graduate programs in the visual arts offer a range of directions and opportunities in the fields of art education, art history, and studio art, which includes a comprehensive array of studio disciplines: ceramics, drawing, glass, jewelry/metals/enameling, painting, print media and photography, sculpture and expanded media, and textiles. The School of Art Collection and Galleries consist of six exhibition spaces located on the Kent campus and downtown Kent and a collection of over 4,000 artworks and objects. The School of Art is located at the Center of the Visual Arts at 325 Terrace Dr. in Kent. The 27,900-square-foot facility — twice the length of a football field —had its grand opening in 2016 and houses all School of Art studios and classrooms under one roof.
