The role of the Primary Mental Health Family NP includes comprehensive psychiatric mental health assessment and diagnosis, medication management, and the use of advanced psychotherapeutic modalities, such as individual, family, and group psychotherapy.

The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner role focuses on primary care for women. Primary care is first access to comprehensive care involving health promotion or disease prevention and nursing management of common acute and chronic condition.
