Beverly Warren, Ph.D., Ed.D., became Kent State University's 12th president on July 1, 2014. As the university’s chief executive officer, President Warren oversees one of the nation's largest university systems.
In a re-imagined public research university, the priorities for academic excellence, access and affordability not only coexist but merge as critical elements of a high-quality, distinctive learning environment. I have begun to call this commitment “The Kent State Promise”.
