Mosquito ecology and control methods

Ferenc A. de Szalay

Research in my laboratory examines factors regulating invertebrate communities in aquatic habits (wetlands, streams, and ponds). Invertebrates are important in diets of waterfowl, shorebirds, and gamefish, and some projects have studied aquatic invertebrate responses to wetland management practices. I also study mosquito ecology to develop control methods that do not adversely affect aquatic ecosystems.
