Kent State University at Stark Community Remembers First Campus Dean Jack Morehart

The Kent State University at Stark community is deeply saddened by the passing of Jack D. Morehart, an integral member of our history. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his family.

As the director of the Canton Academic Center, he was instrumental in establishing Kent State Stark’s physical campus in Jackson Township. His 20-year tenure as the first dean of Kent State Stark built the foundation to produce the quality academic programs to attract generations of students to Stark County’s only public university. Kent State Stark’s administrators, staff, students and alumni are proud and grateful to be Morehart’s thriving legacy.
