LIKES MOST ABOUT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY:

The faculty, staff and administration are dedicated and great at what they do. They genuinely care about our students and each other … it is like having an extended family here. As the faculty advisor for the Kent State Ashtabula Student AITP (Association of Information Technology Professionals), I also am blessed to be able to develop a strong rapport with the students and share with them, even outside of the classroom, my enthusiasm for learning and my excitement about the thought-provoking world of technology they are about to enter into upon graduation.

ATTRACTION TO KENT STATE UNIVERSITY AS AN EMPLOYER:

As a technologist, I am a dedicated, lifelong learner and appreciate the support Kent State allows me to keep up to date in my field and to engage students in new areas of technology that arise every year. Also important to me was the ability for my sons to obtain a college education. This was a priority and goal for me after obtaining my own degree from Kent State. My oldest son received his Master of Technology at KSU and is employed in the tech field. My youngest son finished the pre-pharmacy program with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry at KSU and is now in pre-med at NEOMED on his way to becoming a pharmacist. Kent State has given us opportunities through the excellent education received at this university that would have not been possible before.
