JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a residence hall director, I supervise an RA staff, oversee the maintenance and functionality of my assigned halls, work with and serve as a resource for residents with academic and personal concerns, manage conduct around campus and in the halls, serve in an on-call emergency response rotation with other professional staff in the department, manage the room change processes for residents in my hall in collaboration with other RHDs and central office staff, and collaborate on departmental and campus committees.

The students have such a great energy and it makes my work a lot of fun. Everyone has been so friendly, helpful and welcoming, and it has been a wonderful experience! I am so glad I’ve had the opportunity to work at Kent State and call it my home!

I’ve worked out of state and I truly feel like the students in Northeast Ohio are unparalleled. They have so much energy and spirit! I’ve known people who attended Kent State and had terrific college experiences, and I wanted to be a part of a team that provided such great memories for students. I also wanted to get back to my roots in Ohio, so it was an amazing opportunity.
