Kent State University is proud to offer Weight Watchers at Work to its full- and part-time faculty, staff and students. Participants in Kent State Weight Watchers have the option of two discounted weight-loss programs:
- The first option is a monthly pass for Weight Watchers meetings. This option gives faculty, staff and students a chance to try the program without making a lengthy commitment. In this program, you can either attend “at-work” meetings or a meeting held within your community.
- The second weight loss option is the Weight Watchers online program. The online program is tailored to the employee’s schedule, allowing employees to choose their own pace for the program.
The “At Work” program meets every Wednesday at noon in the Kent Student Center, Room 303, unless otherwise noted. With the new payment offerings, the at-work sessions run continually with no end date. However, a minimum of 20 members must be enrolled for each class session, and we must have a minimum of eight members present for each meeting in order to maintain the meeting location at Kent State.
If you are thinking of joining Weight Watchers at Work and wish to try a meeting, there is no obligation to join. Simply go to a meeting in Room 303, Kent Student Center, Wednesday at noon, learn all the exciting changes launched for 2016, and consider joining. Your group leader will assist you with the registration process or you may follow the directions here.
An incentive program is available for employees who have medical coverage through Medical Mutual of Ohio and sign up for the monthly pass program. Members are eligible for a maximum reimbursement of $150 per calendar year. There is no reimbursement for the online program.
