Kent State University’s Division of Human Resources is accepting applications for the Institute for Excellence (I4E) until June 15. The Institute for Excellence is Kent State University’s premier leadership program. According to the Human Resources LEAD Awards, the university’s Institute for Excellence program ranks eighth in the nation in the category of certificate programs with emphasis on leadership and organizational development.

Based on faculty feedback, the Office of the University Registrar has created a new Final Grading History page to provide faculty members with access to review grading history for prior terms. This new page allows you to view your students’ historical final grades once final grades processing has been completed.

As we begin the new semester, the Office of the University Registrar asks for your assistance in making sure that all students are properly registered for their Summer I, II or III 2017 courses.
Online final grading for Summer 2017 Intersession began Thursday, June 8, via FlashFAST. Grading also is now available for any summer 2017 course section that was flexibly scheduled. The deadline for grading submission is midnight on Tuesday, June 13. Any final grades for summer 2017 courses not reported in FlashFAST by the grades processing deadline will have to be submitted using the Grade Change Workflow. These summer 2017 courses will be available in the Workflow on Thursday, June 15.

Kent State University Distinguished Professor of Human Evolutionary Studies C. Owen Lovejoy, Ph.D., received the President’s Medal from President Beverly Warren during the One University Commencement Ceremony on May 13 in Dix Stadium.

Kent State University celebrated its newest graduates at its Spring 2017 Commencement ceremonies. In total, Kent State conferred 5,636 degrees, including 992 associate degrees, 3,319 bachelor’s degrees, 1,139 master’s degrees, 181 doctoral degrees and five educational specialist degrees.

Two Kent State University students received Best in Show honors, as well as the Dean’s Choice Awards, during the Kent State University at Tuscarawas 13th annual Student Computer Designed Art Exhibition.
