Obituary for Rozell Renee Duncan (Hill)

Rozell Renee Hill Duncan, age 67, born in Cleveland, Ohio, died on Aug. 15, 2016.

Rozell is survived by her loving husband, David Duncan; her daughter, Yolanda Duncan; her son-in-law, Allie Wims; two beautiful granddaughters, Allison and Alexis Wims; her grandson, her great-granddaughter and a host of friends and extended family.

She also leaves behind a loving mother, Mrs. Carrie Mae Tatum, and her sister, Lalita Duke. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Clifton Hill, Jr., and her brother, Andre Hill.

Rozell earned a B.A. degree from Muskingum College, and B.S. and M.A. degrees from the University of Akron. Additionally, she earned a Ph.D. from Kent State University. She retired after a full career from the Summit County Department of Job and Family Services and was a full-time associate professor in the communication department at Kent State. She was actively involved in the community and participated in many volunteer endeavors.

Funeral services will be in the Catavolos Funeral Home, Rose Hill Burial Park, 3653 W. Market St., Fairlawn, Ohio 44333 on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016. Friends and family visitation hours are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. The burial will start shortly afterwards at the Rose Hill Burial Park.
