Public Health Student Ambassadors
The Public Health Student Ambassadors are dedicated representatives who promote the college’s mission, programs, and student experience to prospective students, community partners, and the public. Serving as leaders and advocates, ambassadors share their experiences in public health through campus tours, recruitment events, outreach initiatives, and professional engagements. They embody a commitment to service and leadership, while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects the values of the College of Public Health and Health Sciences.
Become a Public Health Student Ambassador!
Public Health is looking for undergraduate students in the College of Public Health and Health Sciences to be representatives of the program and help enhance the student experience. Being a Student Ambassador gives you the opportunity to elevate your leadership skills through professional development and assistance with college recruitment and retention efforts. Working alongside college faculty and staff, you will be provided opportunities such as:
- Providing support at Admissions events
- Using your own experiences to promote the College to new students and families
- Assisting in the creation and execution of college-wide events
- Additional opportunities to network with potential employers
- Professional and leadership development workshops
- Compensation
- And more!
The application to become a 2025-2026 Public Health Student Ambassador will close on January 25th, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
We are looking for:
- Undergraduate students of any year in school
- 2.75 minimum cumulative GPA
- Full-time student enrollment in the BSPH
- 1 faculty member recommendation
Requirements include:
- Attending all monthly meetings
- Volunteering for a minimum of two recruitment/retention events per semester
- Assisting in the creation and implementation of 1 college-wide program per semester
- Attending 1 professional development opportunity per semester
- Attending 1 outside service project per semester
- Attending the Student Ambassador retreat (spring) and Group Interview (fall)
- Serving as a positive role model for current and prospective public health students both in person and online
