Epsilon Gamma is the Kent State University College of Public Health chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health
Public Health graduate students pursuing an MPH, M.S., or PhD must be academically ranked in the top 20% of their class and must have completed at least one year of academic courses to apply.
Undergraduate students are eligible to apply for membership during the spring semester of their graduating year, and must be academically ranked in the top 10% of their graduating class.
New members are inducted during spring semester of each academic year.
Eligible graduate or undergraduate applicants should be planning to pursue a career in public health following graduation. Graduate students may self-nominate; undergraduates must be nominated by a faculty member or academic adviser. The nominating faculty/adviser is only required to support the nomination and does not need to provide a separate recommendation letter or other supplementary information.
Applications for Spring Semester 2021 are open between February 22, 2021 and March 22, 2021.
The application process requires that students write a 500-word essay that describes their contributions in public health using the framework of the 10 Essential Services, and upload a copy of their current C.V. or resumé.
Interested and potentially eligible graduate students should send an email request for the application to epsilongamma@kent.edu
Interested and potentially eligible undergraduate students should request that a faculty member or academic adviser express support for the nomination in an email request for the application to epsilongamma@kent.edu. The email must originate from the faculty or adviser’s email address and cc. the student.
