A strategic vision for Kent State University

Kent State is poised to determine a distinctive future of impact, influence and innovation. To serve the communities around us, as well as reach our strategic vision for our university, developing a common narrative that will serve all constituents is critical. Our narrative will tell, in an authentic and compelling way, the story of who we are and what we stand for at Kent State. Throughout the year, we have worked to define our strategic vision. This process required each of us to reflect on our vision for Kent State, to describe our guiding core values and to share personal stories that help define a distinctively great Kent State. Here, we share the culmination of thousands of Kent State voices, our new vision statement (adopted on Sept. 9, 2015, by the Board of Trustees), core values (draft), and priorities (draft). As we continue to refine and reflect upon our core values and priorities, we ask for your continued feedback.
