Jeffrey M. Magada, founder and executive director of Flying HIGH Inc., will deliver the keynote address at Kent State University at Trumbull's 2024 spring commencement.
More than 300 students and family members will attend the ceremony that begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 10, at Packard Music Hall.
Magada founded Flying HIGH Inc. and has served as its executive director since its incorporation in 1994. Since then, he and his organization have provided educational and economic opportunities for those most in need, helping them to develop their potential and discover their destiny.
“I am truly honored to address the 2024 spring graduates of Kent State Trumbull and to join them in celebrating their tremendous accomplishments," Magada said. "Although each student has a unique story, they share a common dedication to advancing their education."
Magada earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Youngstown State University and is a licensed social worker. He is also the author of The Good Life: You Can Walk in God's Perfect Will, published in 2011. Magada resides in Austintown with his wife, Donna, and their precocious borderdoodle, Gracee.
