The Computer Science Department is pleased to announce that, at their meeting in November, Kent State University's Board of Trustees approved the recommendation of the department and our Dean that Professor Ken E. Batcher be recognized as an Emeritus Professor.

As the letter from President Lester Lefton states, this is a recognition of his "many contributions to Kent State" and "as an emblem of [his] continuing identification with the University [he] has served so long and so well".
