Although the vast majority of our M.A. program graduates go on to doctoral study in history, a number also choose law school or advanced work in another discipline. And some program graduates, especially those in our Public History program, use their educations as springboards to full-time employment. Graduates of our doctoral program have been similarly successful in securing permanent professional positions within a few years of graduation. Most secure jobs at colleges and universities, no doubt helped by the independent teaching experience they acquire as part of our program.
