NIH Grant Awarded for Multiple Sclerosis Research
Professors Jennifer McDonough (PI) and Ernie Freeman (PI) (Department of Biological Sciences) together with Professor Roger Gregory (co-PI) (Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry) have been awarded a two-year, $398,682 grant from the National Institutes of Health to support their project "Neuronal Expression of Hemoglobin in Multiple Sclerosis Cortex."

Whitesides Seminar Scheduled for Oct. 9

Kent State Student Enlists “Fifty Shades” Author, Writers to Raise $70,000 for Japan’s Tsunami Victims
After the tsunami hit Japan in 2011, like most young people her age, Kent State senior English major Alexandria Rhodes of Tallmadge, Ohio, turned to Twitter for updates about the disaster. But rather than just monitor events from across the pond, she was moved by the plight of the victims and went a step further by getting involved.

The Department of Geography at Kent State University seeks an Urban Geographer with interests in urban sustainability and/or urban planning. A specialization in statistical modeling, GIS and/or remote sensing related to urban geography is desirable (Qualifications: Ph.D. in Geography or a related field).
