Research Interests: 

The research conducted by my lab – the Child Anxiety Research (CARe) Program – has two primary aims. First, we seek to obtain a better understanding of what risk factors (e.g., neurocognitive deficits, family functioning) lead to the development of anxiety and related problems in kids (5-17 years old), particularly OCD, other anxiety disorders, hair pulling, and Tourette’s Syndrome. Second, we are interested in understanding how this information can be used to develop better treatments for these children. To achieve these aims, my lab conducts research utilizing a range of methodology from internet-sampling procedures to experimental tasks and treatment outcome research.
