My lab conducts transdiagnostic (i.e., cutting across disorders as typically defined) research designed to gain a better understanding of risk factors (i.e., neurocognitive performance, family functioning) linked to the development of child anxiety and related disorders - particularly OCD, hair puling disorder, and Tourette's Syndrome - in kids between the ages of 4 and 17. In turn, we are interested in using these data to inform the development of better treatments for these children and their families. To achieve these aims, my lab conducts research utilizing a range of methodology from internet-sampling procedures to experimental tasks and treatment outcome research.
