About CASRLC
The College of Arts and Sciences Residential Learning Community at Kent State University is a place where a student can grow intellectually and socially. It's a community that seeks to broaden the learning experience at KSU beyond the traditional classroom, lab, or studio setting. It's a place where you get to know faculty, academic advisors and benefit from unique learning and leadership opportunities.
Members of the CAS Residential Learning Community live in Wright Hall. CAS provides a sense of community and is more than just a place to live. Wright Hall is connected to Rosie's Diner, open 24 hours and is close to other eateries such as Eastway Market & Deli. Wright Hall also has a computer lab, RESNET (the computer center for tech support), and tutoring service. An Academic Advisor & staff member has daily office hours and the area desk is open 24 hours a day. It is a smaller community within the larger university, where you can create a special undergraduate experience. CAS Residential Learning Community provides a close-knit community for U.S. and international students looking for diverse cultures, languages and amazing college experiences.
As a member of the CAS Residential Learning Community, you will join one of three learning communities, Science Learning Community, Social Science Learning Community, or Humanities Learning Community. You will be able to interact with students who share interests similar to yours and who have ambitions to become professionals in areas of study such as the majors listed below, or a related field of study (Pre-Medicine, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Veterinary, Medical Technology, Biotechnology, Botany, Conservation and Zoology).
