  • Kent State University’s combined bachelor’s/master’s degree program allows students to count nine credits of graduate level courses to their undergraduate degrees, providing a faster path to an advanced degree. Cassie Milicia chose this route for her degrees in Emerging Media and Technology.

  • Two Media and Journalism students and Associate Professor David Foster are bringing a fresh perspective to a late 1960s photo collection focused on Black student life at Kent State University.

  • The Kent State University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of four new majors during its regular quarterly meeting held March 6 on the Kent Campus. Two of the majors are housed in CCI, including a pathway to a degree for media students who have amassed credits but have not completed their current program, as well as continuing education opportunities for high school teachers who are responsible for teaching and advising an array of student media content.

  • Michael Bice served as a senior executive of academic medical centers and large healthcare systems for over 25 years. In 2008, when he was tapped by Kent State University's Provost, Robert Frank, to create a healthcare master's degree for the university, there were only three health informatics programs in the United States. Kent State's made it four.
