Welcome to the College of Aeronautics and Engineering!
Recognizing the need in the state of Ohio for engineering and manufacturing, especially as it relates to aerospace and aviation, Kent State University committed to creating the College of Aeronautics and Engineering (CAE). The state of Ohio is ranked fourth of all states in Aerospace Attractiveness, is the number one supplier of manufactured aerospace components and systems and is ranked fourth in the number of aerospace engineering jobs.
CAE supports workforce development that will enhance Ohio’s dominant role in aerospace and aviation even further. Investment in the college is reflected in the university's Master Plan, which includes the FedEx Aeronautics and Academic Center at the Kent State University Airport and the 40,000 square foot expansion of the existing Aeronautics and Engineering Building.
The College of Aeronautics and Engineering was recently featured in U.S. News and World Report's 2024 Best Colleges as the highest-ranked public institution in northern Ohio on the Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs.
