Jeremy Spencer
Associate of Arts, South Suburban College, 2005
Bachelor of Arts, Geography, Carthage College, 2007 (Summa Cum Laude)
Master of Science, Geography, Northern Illinois University, 2009
I am currently a second-year doctoral student whose activities encompass both research and teaching. In the past I have taught introductory-level Meteorology lab sections, and while at Kent State I have taught Geography of the U.S. and Canada and Fundamentals of Meteorology. My research interests are atmospheric hazards, applied climatology, synoptic climatology, biometeorology, and data quality issues for natural hazard loss databases. My current research includes studying the role of weather in hypothermia-related emergency room admissions in New York state, and the relationship between weather and traffic accidents in Oklahoma.
