Profile Detail
Becky Parylak
My research interests include historical precipitation trends, climate change, El Nino Southern Oscillation, severe weather, natural hazards, and biogeography. Most of my recent research has been in severe and violent tornado climatology, and tornado activity and its relationship to teleconnections. Currently, I am researching annual and seasonal precipitation trends in Texas to determine if there are changes over a time span of 80 years. Other research interests include assessing learning outcomes in the DL science labs with the traditional in-class environment. My teaching interests include physical geography, climatology, statistics, and biogeomorphology.
