Ms. Antonella Cerasino

Antonella Cerasino has been head of the NATO countries section in the Public Diplomacy Division since October 2007. In this role she has been working on organising communication activities in all NATO member countries to illustrate NATO’s policy, agenda and values. In her role she leads a team of information officers who organise a range of public diplomacy activities such as conferences, roundtable and visits for briefings to NATO HQ in Brussels by engaging with specific audiences such as academics, representatives of civil society, business community, parliamentarians, etc. Before that, she was spokesperson of the OSCE Mission to Croatia (2005-2007) and Team Leader of a European Commission sponsored Information and Communication Project on the Western Balkans, stationed in Sarajevo (2002-2004). Previously she has been working in Brussels and former Soviet Union in European Commission programmes which aim was to communicate the EU policies towards the region.
Ms Cerasino graduated in English and Russian at the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Bari. She further specialised her studies by attending a preparatory course for the diplomatic career at the LUISS University in Rome and a Master in International Relations at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles.
