Kent State Develops Northeast Ohio Local Government Collaborative Inventory
Intergovernmental collaboration provides opportunities for cost savings, economic development and local government service improvement. Kent State University’s Center for Public Administration and Public Policy has developed a comprehensive inventory of more than 240 collaborative projects that are actively happening or are being explored as ideas for possible implementation in Northeast Ohio.

Guest speaker Dr. Boum- Jewish culture and societies in the Sahara
Aomar Boum will be speaking at Kent State on September 26th and 27th. He will speak at Oscar Ritchie’s Lecture Hall on September 26th in the evening, and on September 27th will be available to students and faculty from 10:45 AM to 12:30 pm at the Cohn Jewish Student Center, 613 E. Summit St. The evening lecture is open to the public.

Global Technology Leader to Visit Kent State to Discuss Liquid Crystal Research
Samsung Electronics Corporation is a leader in the global market of high-tech electronics manufacturing and digital media, and the largest producer of liquid crystal displays in the world. On Friday, May 20, Dr. Sung Tae Shin, senior vice president of Samsung’s LCD Center in South Korea, will visit Kent State University on to discuss the university’s groundbreaking research involving new applications for liquid crystal display technologies.

Longtime Kent State Professor David C. Riccio to be Honored by Former Students and Colleagues, May 19-21
Kent State University Professor David C. Riccio just wrapped up his 46th year as a faculty member in the university’s psychology department, and he has no plans of calling it quits anytime soon. From May 19 to May 21, Kent State’s Department of Psychology is hosting a Festschrift to recognize Riccio’s life’s work and service to the university with a scientific meeting and a reception.
