Kent State Researcher Awarded Grant
Posted Aug. 20, 2012Kathy Kerns, Manfred van Dulmen, and Karin Coifman have received a grant from the National Institute of Nursing Research for a project titled "Pet Dogs as Compensatory Support Figures". The key question of the grant is whether supportive relationships with pets can compensate for difficulties in other close relationships in preadolescence.
