Online Checklist for Graduation and Commencement
 

1. Log into FlashLine 

  • Apply to Graduate
  • Confirm your personal information: Name, Major, Degree and Diploma Mailing Address 
  • Remove a Student Directory Restriction 
  • Current term RSVP in Flashline is closed. 
    • Graduation Candidates whose application for graduation has been tentatively accepted by their advising office for the current term will be contacted via their Kent email account to RSVP.  Spring 2017 candidates can also access the RSVP by logging into Flashline between January 30 - March 7, 2017. 

    2. Complete the Late Ceremony RSVP

    • Current term Graduation Candidates that need to RSVP after March 7, 2017 can click the above link and complete a late ceremony RSVP.  Graduates who complete the form will receive a confirmation email of their ceremony selections.  Ticket information will be emailed to those who complete this form. 
       

    3. Download Guest Tickets

    • Current Term Graduates who completed the RSVP will have access to the ticket download March 15 - May 13, 2017.  Additionally, candidates will receive an electronic notification via their FlashLine email account.
      • Advanced Degree Ceremony - 6 Tickets per RSVP'd Graduate
      • University Commencement - 6 Tickets per RSVP'd Graduate
      • Kent Campus College Ceremonies - 6 Tickets per RSVP'd Graduate
         

    4. Attend Pre-Commencement Events 

    • Grad Fair: One Stop Shopping to Finalize your Commencement Details 
      • Saturday, March 4, 2017
        • 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.​
      • Monday & Tuesday, March 6-7, 2017
        • 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.​​
      • Bookstore First Floor Kent Campus Student Center
    • Karamu Ya Wahitimu
    • Lavender Graduation
    • Senior Week
       

    5. Commencement Announcements, Invitations, Garb and Related Materials 

    6. Attend Commencement 

    • Check In – Graduates report to the ceremony venue 90 minutes prior to the start of their ceremony with cap and gown. Detailed ceremony reporting instructions will be sent to your FlashLine email. 
    • Regional Campus and CPM Graduates - A Shuttle Service has been arranged for graduates and a limited number of guests from the Regional and College of Podiatric Medicine locations. Reserve your seat on the shuttle today! 
       

    7. After the Ceremony 

    8. Diploma Mailing 

    • Diplomas will be mailed upon final approval to the graduate’s diploma address approximately 8-10 weeks following the ceremony.
