Students learn more about student organizations during the Welcome Weekend Back to School Blastoff held at the track behind the Deweese Health Center.

Back to School Blastoff

Blastoff 2017 will be Sunday, August 27 from 6 - 8:30 p.m.

The final event of Welcome Weekend is a fun way for the campus community to get together before classes start. Thousands of students will gather on Risman Plaza to catch up with old friends, meet new ones and learn about many of the student organiztions on campus. The event will conclude with a concert and light show!  

Students fill the Student Green during the Black Squirrel Festival. Food, games, vendors and bands entertain the students at the start of the semester.
