Translating across the Humanities (TransHum)

Translating across the Humanities (TransHum) is a PhD-run and -led organization. Our mission is to build and strengthen a community among graduate students across different disciplines interested in the intersection between Translation & Interpreting Studies and Humanities. TransHum offers four programs:

1. Young Researchers Series

This series is designed for M.A. and Ph.D. graduate students interested in translation across
disciplines and colleges to come together and gather motivation to succeed in their academic life.

2. Tiny Desk Series

This series is designed to provide a forum for KSU translation alumni to share with current graduate students their academic and career experiences.

3. Carousel Rides Series

This series is designed to provide a forum for translation scholars to share with current graduate students their scholarly works.

4. Bonding Series

This series allows graduate students in Translation and Modern and Classical Languages Studies to have
the time to bond and interact with fellow students in a fun way.

TransHum is a PhD-led student organization that fosters discussion and debate on current trends in translation and interpreting by creating a space that offers opportunities for scholarly and professional development, and community involvement.
