Jeffrey Corbett
Biography
Jeff Corbett, of University Heights, OH, is the Academic Learning Commons Coordinator for Kent State Geauga and Twinsburg Academic Center. A Kent State alumna, Jeff left his position as a public librarian at Stark County District Library (SCDL) and joined Kent State on October 4, 2021. Jeff had served on SCDL’s Social Media Committee and the Director’s Advisory Council (DAC.) Prior to joining SCDL, Jeff worked at Cleveland Public Library, and in the academic libraries of Lorain County Community College in Elyria, OH, and Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, OH. Prior to his immigration to the U.S., Jeff worked in special libraries in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where he was born and raised. Jeff is a member of ALAO – Academic Library Association of Ohio.
Jeff earned three degrees – Associates Degree in Library and Information Technician (LIT,) (graduating with honours) from Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in Toronto, ON, B.A. in Humanities (graduating Summa Cum Laude) from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, OH and Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Kent State, OH.
Jeff’s research interests include Judaic Studies, especially the Holocaust as well as Disabilities, especially as they relate to the provision of library services. Jeff is eager to help every GTAC student achieve success at KSU!
