Kent Brass Quintet

The Kent Brass Quintet is a faculty ensemble-in-residence in the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at Kent State. The KBQ plays both original music and transcriptions from a wide variety of styles and periods ranging from the Renaissance to jazz and new compositions.

Kent State University's School of Music sidewalks, have for decades hosted the famous black squirrels. We are so proud that our Wind Faculty got together and launched our newest faculty ensemble, the Black Squirrel Winds.

Verve Chamber Players

Formed in 2013, this chamber music ensemble in residence at Kent State features five talented musicians playing a variety of instruments. These five dynamic performers join together to perform a wide variety of repertoire. Audiences will be able to experience spirited performances of quintets, quartets, trios and duos.
